Screen printing is a printing technique where a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multi-coloured image or design from A5 up to A2 in size!
DISCHARGE PRINTING TECHNIQUE
Discharge printing is a 100% organic screen printing process whereby a specialised discharge under-base is applied before other organic pigments. This works well on darker cotton garments and allows the screen pigment colours to penetrate into the fabric leaving a premium iron-able print which is soft and in the fabric. This process allows for up to 10 Colours so minimum order quantities apply.
WATER BASE PRINTING TECHNIQUE
This technique is still 100% organic process too. Much like above but the Pigment sits on the surface of the garment, but is still soft and has some stretch.
3D PUFF PRINT TECHNIQUE
This is a specialised screen printed technique where by the pigment is activated by heat through the oven which causes it to rise/puff by estimated 2mm off the surface of the garment.
FOILING
Here a specialised glue is screen printed in the area where the foil is required to stick. Once this has been applied the foil is applied to the same area and heat pressed to stick.
(DTG) PRINTING
Is a digital process of printing graphics onto textiles and garments. It uses modified inkjet technology to print any artwork onto a garment. DTG printers are able to print full colour designs directly to your shirt in one single pass. With DTG printing there is no set up and a fast turnaround time. It is cost effective on multi colour prints and small runs but Max width is 360 mm
